In order to increase the income of elderly groups in rural areas and to improve tourists' travel experience, the Tanhe Ancient Town Scenic Area decided to hire elderly farmers to portray Jiang Ziya, a mythological figure from the novel "Fengshen Yanyi" (or "The Investiture of the Gods"). After receiving specialized pre-job training, the first batch of nearly 60 farmers officially started their work on March 29, which added a unique scenic charm to the ancient town.
